Planned weekend

The weekend was pretty amazing. Saturday was spent striking off errands

1) Perm my hair
Ive always been curious about perming my hair. Ive had straight hair all my life, and for ~90% of it, my hair has been long (past my shoulder). Ive toyed with the idea of a perm, but it wasnt until Ms. C got her perm that I decided to do mine. I really liked how hers looked, so I went over to Cu's and Do's at Solaris Mont Kiara. They had a special promotion going on there. RM 273 for a wash, cut, digital perm and hair treatment. Whats a digital perm I hear you say? They pretty much put your hair in rollers, then connect it to some kind of motherboard that controls the heat with its electrodes. The end result is tight curls at first, but will eventually become more natural and larger curls. May take a few days though. Much better than the tight artificial looking ones that stays the same shape and size no matter how long you've had the perm. This one should last ~6 months. The session isnt for the faint hearted though. With hair as long as mine, the entire process took about four hours of sitting on your butt. The upside? Cu's and Do's provides everyone with a laptop. So you can surf away and entertain yourself (e.g. checking out this website!) while they do your hair. Ask for Nick if you want to do the digital perm. He's pretty good.

(Laptop for you while you wait... I was checking out instyle.com!)

2) Headed over to try out Wau Penyu
Located in Solaris Dutamas (which is just down the street from Solaris Mont Kiara. Ive heard so much good stuff about Wau Penyu, I just had to go and check it out. They serve Terengganu food that's so good I almost wept with joy. If I could cook like that, I wouldve gotten me a long line of men. Amazing Malay traditional food. Try the Nasi Kerabu. What I also liked was how they had decorated the restaurant so that it looked like the inside of an old Kampung house. I was so hungry I didnt even wait for my friend to come. By the time he got there, I was pretty much done eating mine and was anticipating eating his. For more local treats, try out their Milo Raksakso - or translated directly as "Giant monster Milo"

3) Watched 'Cock' the play at The Actors Studio, Lot 10
After mucking around the house and finishing all my house errands re: laundry and sorting out all my bills, I realized I had enough time to get ready and head out to watch the 3p.m. show. The show was interesting. At first I thought it was going to be a serious monologue, but the plot became quite deep. About figuring out ones' self. Not just ones' sexuality. When the show ended it turned out to be pouring outside, and my car was parked at Pavilion. So I just walked around to kill time. I walked over to Sungai Wang (thank god for the covered overhead bridge) to get some coffee. While walking around, I saw this sign...

After all, havent we all wanted to eat in the bathroom before??! or out of a toilet bowl?! This makes the process more efficient is all. hahahaha. Well Ms. C wasnt as amused when I emailed the picture to her, so I guess Ill just have to go by myself!

Next weekend Ill be heading somewhere fabulous! Cant wait!!

  1. I've seen that featured on TV , the one in Taiwan. They have curry that's served in a mini toilet that looks like something you produced. HAHA. Gross. Go eat there and take photos!!
